The Huffington Post reports on Sunday, lucky skywatchers in parts of Asia, the Pacific and the western U.S. were treated to a rare annular solar eclipse.

It was the first annular eclipse visible in the U.S. in nearly 18 years, according to NASA, and National Geographic reports that it will be more than 10 years before another annular eclipse is visible from the mainland U.S.

This is an issue that I�ve written about many times. Basically, the unholy alliance between the Democrat Party and the UFT is the single biggest reason why minority students are locked in failing public schools without any hope because that�s the way they want it. As long as te UFT collects union dues and funnels the cash in the coffers of the Democrat Party, it doesn�t matter if the kids aren�t getting educated.

Charter schools, that provide better schooling, are the enemy that must be destroyed at all costs!

New York Post reports there�s a new weapon in the ugly battle between the teachers union and charter schools over space: Spies!

A teachers-union photographer was detained after he snuck into a Manhattan charter school and took photographs of students, bulletin boards and hallways without permission, officials said.

The shutterbug, Jack Miller, was spotted with a public-school parent in a second-floor hallway of the Success Academy Harlem I school in Morningside Heights by Assistant Principal Khari Shabazz.

�My main concern was for the safety of the children,� said Shabazz, who followed Miller and the parent until they were stopped by security. �He refused to identify himself to me.�


School security called the police, but after interviewing Miller, cops declined to make an arrest.


�This is part of a pattern of [union] harassment that has happened over many years,� said Success Academy spokeswoman Jenny Sedlis.

More than 60 Percent of Males Arrested in 2011 Used Drugs, Fed says

CNS News reports more than 60 percent of males arrested last year for crimes � felonies and misdemeanors � tested positive for drug use, according to a White House study of arrest data from 10 large cities. For some cities, that surpassed 80 percent.

That�s an uptick for half of the cities evaluated in the 2011 Arrestee Drug Abuse Monitoring Annual Report from the previous year, particularly in Washington, D.C. The report also shows a small decline in the percentage of arrestees testing positive for drug use in the last five

I reported on Mr. Bennett suing Jesse Jackson over a year ago and the media of course kept it hush hush. Jackson will never lose his seat at the Democrat table because he serves a useful purpose for the party along with Al Pay no Taxes� Sharpton. Accuracy in Media reports Tamara Holder, a Fox News contributor, is accused of having an affair with Jesse Jackson, Sr. in a lawsuit that alleges the illegal use of a gay Jackson employee to facilitate the relationship.


The accuser, Tommy R. Bennett, was Jackson�s personal travel assistant and ran the legal clinic at Jackson�s organization, the Rainbow PUSH Coalition. He says he was eventually fired for protesting his treatment by Jackson and other PUSH employees and is seeking hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages.


Holder has not responded to repeated requests for comment from Accuracy in Media, but Jackson�s press representative, Lauren Love, says the allegations are false and will be proven so.


Bennett attorney Thomas V. Leverso says that Jackson and PUSH have been stonewalling a legal response for many months but that investigations and the case are moving forward. Leverso tells Accuracy in Media that witnesses have come forward to verify the allegations against Jackson.


Jackson, a minister and Democratic politician who served as an aide to Martin Luther King, Jr., suffered a major embarrassment in 2010 when he admitted to an extramarital affair that produced an illegitimate child.


Bennett worked for Jackson for more than two years and was known as �Aruba Tommy� on local Chicago radio station WVON. The lawsuit alleges that Bennett was subjected to �humiliating tasks� because he was a homosexual, such as �escorting women to his [Jackson�s] hotel room� and then being ordered to clean up after Jackson had sexual intercourse with them.


One of those women, the suit claims, was Tamara Holder, a pundit and criminal defense attorney who claims she �single-handedly� founded what she calls �a pro bono legal clinic at Rev. Jesse L. Jackson�s Rainbow PUSH Coalition.� A self-described Democrat, she appears regularly on Fox News to defend the Obama Administration and other prominent Democrats.

Mary Kennedy, who battled drug use and alocoholism found dead in NYC home at 52

I bet her death has something to do with her alcoholism.

Washington Post reports Robert F. Kennedy Jr.�s estranged wife, Mary Kennedy, who had fought drug and alcohol problems, was found dead in her home Wednesday.

Attorney Kerry Lawrence, who had represented her in a drunken-driving case, said he didn�t know the cause of her death at age 52. Police confirmed a body was found on Robert F. Kennedy Jr.�s property in Bedford, north of New York City, but wouldn�t release the dead person�s name.

The former Mary Richardson married Robert Kennedy Jr., a prominent environmental lawyer and the son of Sen. Robert F. Kennedy and nephew of President John F. Kennedy, in 1994. The couple had four children, the youngest born in July 2001.


Her family cited her devotion to her children in remembering her.

Police search for clues in shooting death of New Jersey radio host April Kauffman of multiple guns shots

Fox News reports New Jersey authorities are searching for the killer or killers in the shooting death of a local radio talk show host known for her activism on veterans' issues.

April Kauffman, 47, was found dead inside the bedroom of her New Jersey home Thursday from "multiple gunshot wounds," according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.


Kauffman, who hosted a weekly talk radio program on WOND, was found around 11:30 a.m. Thursday by a worker who called 911. Kauffman reportedly lived with her husband, a physician, near the Jersey shore in Linwood, about 12 miles from Atlantic City.

Daily Mail reports a college student was in intensive care with multiple broken bones after he ran and jumped from the roof of an apartment complex towards a swimming pool below - but landed on the concrete.

Ian Smith, a sophomore at Colorado State University, was captured on cameraphone as he stood on the roof of the building during a party on Saturday afternoon.

As other students screamed out for him not to jump, Smith threw himself off and landed with a sickening thud at the edge of the pool - before rolling into the water.

Daily Mail reports a New Jersey mother was arrested for child endangerment after she took her pale five-year-old daughter to a tanning salon, where the child received severe burns all over her body, authorities say.

Through her attorney, Patricia Krentcil, 44, of Nutley, New Jersey, entered a plea of not guilty Wednesday in Superior Court to a charge of child endangerment. New Jersey law bars anyone under 14 from using a tanning salon.

Prior to the hearing, Krentcil called the accusation a lie.


'It's all made up,' she said.

Ex NFL linebacker Junior Seau found dead of apparent suicide-gun shots to his chest

I�m stunned with this news. Seau was a fierce tackler on the gridiron.

Boston Globe reports Junior Seau, a 43-year old 12-time NFL Pro Bowl linebacker, was found dead today in his home, the result of a gunshot wound, police confirmed.

Police are investigating the shooting at the Oceanside, Calif., residence of the former New England Patriot and San Diego Chargers football star as a suicide. Police confirmed that Seau was found by his girlfriend at his beachfront home with a gunshot wound to his chest.

Police received a call at 9:35 a.m. PST from Seau's girlfriend, who informed police Seau was unconscious with a gunshot wound, before making their way to Seau's house and performing "life saving" efforts on him in his bedroom, according to police. A handgun was found.

Ben Novack was found dead in July 2009 in a room at a New York hotel that he was sharing with his wife. His body had been pummeled with dumbbells, his eyes slit with a knife.

Prosecutors claim greed and jealousy drove Narcy Novack, an ex-stripper from Ecuador, and her brother to hire two hitmen - Alejandro Garcia and Joel Gonzalez - to commit the murder.

Our spies snapped unflattering pictures of Olbermann decked out in a giant red pullover and clownishly baggy jeans as he strolled 59th Street near Seventh Avenue, smelling the roses � or, in this case, the horse manure, allergens and aromas from a nearby food cart.


Spies said dejected Olbermann parked himself on CPS and stared into space for several minutes before slinking off by himself.

Daily Mail reports a teacher has been fired from her job as a science teacher after students discovered she had appeared in a number of hardcore porn films.


A California school board unanimously voted that Stacie Halas - whose porn name was Tiffany Six - should lose her job at Richard B. Haydock Intermediate School.


The 31-year-old was placed on leave last month when the Oxnard school board were first told the rumours she had starred in a number of porn films and that several students had seen some of the X-Rated material.

Stacie Halas: Porn Star Tiffany Six To File Appeal Against School�s Firing Decision

International Business Times reports Stacie Halas, a Southern California teacher, who was fired Wednesday night for acting in a pornographic film, will now fight against the school board's decision seeking her dismissal, her attorney said.  

The trustees of the California school unanimously voted Wednesday night in a closed session that the seventh and eighth grade science teacher should be fired from the Richard B. Haydock Intermediate School.

Last month, the 31-year-old teacher was placed on administrative leave after the students discovered her alleged porn video online. The video was made before Halas was hired as a school teacher and it is available on adult websites.

New York Daily News reports the Florida town roiled by the controversial Trayvon Martin shooting soon may get unwelcome visitors � a group of neo-Nazis.

Members of the Detroit-based National Socialist movement have pledged to descend on Sanford to protect �the white citizens in the area� if there are race riots in the aftermath of the killing that has gripped the nation.

�It�s a virtual tinder box right now,� the group�s leader, Jeff Schoep, told the Daily News. �It's explosive. It�s on the verge of violence. We need to make sure our white citizens aren't left defenseless.�

Schoep claimed that up to 20 well-armed members are already in position in Sanford.

Sanford police officials said Saturday they have not spotted any neo-Nazis but have coordinated with the feds to be ready in case violence erupts.

Martin, a 17-year-old black high school student, was wearing a hoodie and unarmed when he was shot Feb. 26 by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman.
