Daily Mail reports a mother in Florida has been arrested after she allegedly placed her seven-week old baby under scalding water to stop him from crying.
Baby Emilio Jesus Bautista suffered extensive burns to his head, chest and arms, as well as second-degree burns to his eyes and ears.
His mother, Chekayla Dampier, from New Port Richey apparently ran the tap till its temperature was 142 degrees and then held baby Emilio Jesus Bautista under the water for two or three minutes.
