Chaka Khan and other R&B stars record tribute song for Trayvon Martin

It doesnt matter what the facts of the case are. Even if theres a trial and George Zimmerman is found not guilty, Trayvon Martin has become mythologized to suit a never ending political agenda of portraying African Americans as the hunted and Whites as the hunters looking to killem. It doesnt matter a rip that statistics show that African Americans are overwhelmingly killed by other African Americans. That doesnt fit the template nor sells T-Shirts.

Weasel Zippers reports R&B legend Chaka Khan, Eric Benet, Kelly Price, Kenny Lattimore and other celebrities are all rallying behind the parents of slain teen Trayvon Martin.

To show their support for the fallen youth whose death has captivated the nation, more than a dozen singers, musicians, actors and TV personalities came together on Sunday to record a special tribute song in his honor.

The celebs hit the legendary Henson studios in Hollywood for eight hours to re-record Khans Super Life from her 2007 album Funk This, reads a statement on Khans website.
