Daily Mail reports a baseball umpire decided to tackle a disruptive streaker last night to loud cheers from the crowd - but now faces disciplinary action for his decisive take-down.

Plate umpire Jeff Kellogg patiently watched as the bare-chested fan ran onto the field in the middle of the seventh innings during the Baltimore Orioles 5-2 loss to the Oakland Athletics.


Clearly enjoying his moment in the spotlight, the man headed down the third base line, slid headfirst onto the home plate, stood up and was then promptly taken down by the fed-up Kellogg.
