The curse of Camelot strikes again: Robert Kennedy Jr's ex-wife found dead in New York home in apparent suicide months after they divorced
Daily Mail reports Mary Kennedy, the estranged wife of Robert Kennedy Jr., was found dead this morning at her home in an apparent suicide.
Mrs Kennedy, 52, and Robert Kennedy, the third-eldest of Robert Kennedy's 11 children, were married for 16 years before they filed for divorce in May 2010.
The death is the latest in a succession of tragedies to strike the glittering and powerful Kennedy clan, known as the 'curse of Camelot'.
The mother-of-four was found dead at her Mount Kisco home today in Westchester County, New York.
Cause of death has not yet been determined but an autopsy was scheduled for tomorrow.
Mrs Kennedy had previously battled drug and alcohol problems.
'There was an EMT vehicle outside the home about an hour ago,' a source told Radar Online.
Police surrounded the family home on Wednesday - a red brick mansion with a columned porch entrance set in a heavily wooded acreage.
Mrs Kennedy's family released a statement following the news of her death.
'We deeply regret the death of our beloved sister Mary, whose radiant and creative spirit will be sorely missed by those who loved her.
'Our heart goes out to her children who she loved without reservation,' the statement read.
It gave no clarification on the details of how she died but simply confirmed
